Job Description :
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individual for the position of IOB Operations Technician in our El Dorado, Arkansas site. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for adherence to and support of Chemtura Environmental, Health and Safety policies in a fast paced, challenging operations environment. You will also ensure safe operations while performing your daily work tasks
Safe and efficient operation of the IOB unit by supporting and participating in all related projects
Work as part of the TBBPA Team operating Methyl Bromide Process Unit
Cross Train on all operations within IOB with initial focus being on Distillation
Ensure all GLS Safety and Environmental policies are followed
Issue safe work permits, work requests and troubleshoot equipment problems
Follow good housekeeping practices
Operations and general maintenance of all unit equipment, Troubleshooting process upsets
Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent
Industrial Wage Certificate or two year degree
Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously
Must be a team player
Good problem-solving skills
Must be able to work a twelve-hour rotating shift and overtime as needed
Previous experience in operations is a plus
May require membership in Fire Brigade
Mechanical aptitude (working with pipe wrenches and tools needed for plant activities and minor maintenance
Experience in operating a forklift or ability to learn
Participation in plant safety programs
