This is a seasonal, but potentially annual, position. Lead Instructors should expect between 15 and 45 hours of instruction during the month of July. Training will be web-based and will begin immediately after hiring.
South Arkansas Community College and Black Rocket Productions, a rapidly growing education company specializing in digital arts, S.T.E.M. and leadership, is currently hiring Lead Instructors and Assistant Instructors to teach children various types of digital arts programs at locations in your area. Lead Instructors are adults who are responsible for the well being and education of the students. A Lead Instructor may have either a degree/experience in education or significant experience in technology, smart phone apps, and/or video games. They must have a strong understanding of the course concepts being taught as well as any techniques and software involved. Demonstrated classroom management skills are preferred. Upon completion of the Black Rocket training program, instructors must demonstrate competency in the core concepts being taught and software used. In addition to teaching responsibilities, Lead Instructors are also responsible for supervision of staff, equipment management, enforcement of site policies, and meeting project deadlines. Training requires availability during some evenings and weekends. Experience with technology preferred, but not required. Training is provided at no charge to the instructor.

Qualifications:
? Certified Teacher (4th - 8th grade) who is comfortable with project-based learning is preferred, but college students, recent graduates, and industry professionals will be considered
? Must have a love of learning both for students and themselves
? Teachers who give specific examples of trying new things in the classroom or personally
? Understands how to engage student (hands on/ student centered lessons vs. passive/teacher centered)
? Has a classroom management philosophy that is positive and supportive vs. punitive
? Able to work with students of various ages 8 to 14
? Has an affinity for technology and new software/technology
? Has interest or passion for music, film, video games,
? Able to pass a background check
? Organized and punctual
